Massage benefits recognized worldwide

I recently found a couple of case studies by a dog massage therapist in Belgium. The case studies chart the treatment of a 13 year old Samoyed with severe mobility issues and a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen with epilepsy.
For me, these case studies highlight three things.
1. Muscle health impacts overall well being.
In the case of Jaco, the Samoyed the muscle tension was not only affecting his ability to move freely, but it was affecting his personality and ability to eat normally.
Likewise with Archie, releasing muscle tension throughout the body reduced the severity and duration of his seizures.
2. Massage soothes the nervous system.
Archie’s story highlights how massage can soothe the nervous system and in this case contribute to reducing the severity and frequency of seizures.
3. “foofy spa treatment”
When I tell people what I do, many of them think I am crazy or they think that I offer, what Linda Gould in Belgium terms “foofy spa treatments” for dogs. But like Linda, when my clients see their dog’s mobility improve after a treatment they understand the value of dog massage.
Please see the Linda Gould’s story here: http://animalwellnessguide.com/massage-helps-a-samoyed-get-back-on-his-feet-and-a-pbgv-with-epilepsy/
Until next time, enjoy your dogs.
