I don’t have human children so Mother’s Day is not really for me.

But to indulge in anthropomorphism for a moment, I am a dog mum.

365 days each year, I feed, walk, train, clean up the yard, clean ears, eyes, dirty feet…. and the rest, trim toenails, and wash beds, dog coats, leads, collars and harnesses. I am not by any means unusual, all us dog mums do the same and more.

So….regardless of whether you have human kids or not, I think dog mums should celebrate Mother’s Day even if you have to buy your own present (because goodness knows my dogs won’t get off the lounge to go shopping!)
