Nutrition
08 Dec, 2015
You may have noticed the Full Stride logo says “myofunctional therapy and nutrition”. So far, I haven’t really talked much about nutrition.
In early 2016, I will be certified to offer nutritional consults to complement my myofunctional therapy practice.
For me nutrition falls into the category of “essential” ingredients for a happy, healthy dog. My other ingredients are physical exercise, mental stimulation, preventative medicine and heaps of love.
Personally, I want my dogs to thrive, not just survive or be maintained but to thrive. I want them to have long and healthy lives where they are active well into their senior years. I also want them to have strong immune systems which can protect them from bacterial and viral attacks and potential allergens, so I can minimise the amount of chemical and artificial substances to which they are exposed.
With these objectives in mind, I have researched widely and studied companion animal nutrition to formulate a diet that suits me and my dogs. I am pleased to say that my dogs are 10 and 12 years old and still mentally and physically active. They visit a vet for annual check ups only.

I look forward to offering nutritional consultation in early 2016 but if you would like further information beforehand please feel free to contact me via the Contact Us page and I am happy to share the information I have gathered through my studies and personal research.
Enjoy your dogs!
